Concert Choir

Concert Choir
Dr. Kerry Glann, Conductor
Mr. Marcel Ramalho de Mello, Graduate Assistant Conductor

The Concert Choir is a selective ensemble open to students of all disciplines by audition. Over the course of several semesters of participation, members will perform accompanied and a cappella music representing a broad spectrum of history and regions. The Concert Choir frequently performs with orchestra or other instrumental ensembles and occasionally tours the region as ambassadors of Ball State.

In preparation for performance, Concert Choir works to advance music literacy skills, build vocal strength, accuracy, and flexibility, and connect our understanding of choral music to other disciplines and the greater context of history. Membership in Concert Choir is a full-year commitment; however, auditions are held at the beginning of each semester. Members of the ensemble for fall semester do not need to re-audition for spring participation.
